Assistance League of Reno-Sparks Thrift Shop, located at 1701 Vassar Street, is a full service shop completely run by volunteers and supported by donations from the community. There is always a lot of activity at the Thrift Shop both in the backroom where clothes are sorted and made ready to sell, and in the store itself. Strict quality control of donated items is observed by backroom workers, therefore, the loyal clientele shopping at the Thrift Shop is never disappointed. Racks of clothing in good condition, shelves of household items, furniture, books, children's toys, jewelry, and collectibles are all offered at the Thrift Shop at bargain prices.

A shopper at Thrift Shop was overheard saying to her friend, "This shop is the Nordstrom of thrift shops". Thrift Shop, open six days a week, continues to experience healthy growth providing a significant portion of ALRS income. Money earned at the Thrift Shop goes toward expenses incurred by the League's building at 1701 Vassar Street. Thrift Shop income also helps to fund the League's five projects in the Reno-Sparks Area.
