Hello, and welcome to Assistance League® of Reno-Sparks!

We have a vibrant chapter of 300 volunteers who contribute over 40,000 hours annually to the Washoe County Community. We serve our community in a variety of programs: Operation School Bell® provides new clothes to over 2600 needy elementary children each year; Links to Learning provides monetary awards to schools to help teachers to enrich classroom curriculum; Food Pantry provides and delivers monthly supplemental groceries to low income senior citizens; Assault Survivor Kits provides new basic clothing, toiletries and items of comfort to victims of sexual assault; and Senior Sampler provides opportunity to supplemental income of senior crafters by managing a gift shop located in our facility; Community Outreach works with other nonprofit organizations to give usable items back to the community; and The Kids on the Block, a troupe of puppets addresses social and behavioral problems with various groups in the community. This year, we are adding two new programs – Community Outreach and Kids on the Block. Our Charmanta Auxiliary provides Kids Kottage with items for the children and the facility, sponsors special events at the Kottage, and provides grooming kits for Operation School Bell. Our Thrift Shop is the major fundraiser and operated solely by volunteers.

We invite you to come and visit our facility at 1701 Vassar Street, Reno, Nevada. If you are interested in becoming a member or finding out more about us, please call us at 775-329-1584. We would love to hear from you.

Best wishes,
